Due to the growing demand, I built MEI-Design step by step. In June this year, I took the full step to focus on this. We now work with multiple designers and suppliers and, in addition to Taiwanese customers, we also serve international families.

Interior design is my lifelong passion
From an early age, I had a great passion for interior design. Therefore, after high school, I chose without hesitation to study specialized interior design. Even at university, it was natural for me to continue studying spatial design. While my studies were busy, in my spare time I did internships at various design firms. In seven years, I gained experience at interior design and construction firms, architectural firms and spatial design studios. As a result, immediately after graduation I was able to take on projects independently and work as a professional interior designer.
My work experience as an interior designer in Taiwan
With 15 years of experience in interior design and renovation I have designed countless residential and commercial spaces - from renovating old houses to furnishing new construction projects. Whether homes, restaurants or clinics, I always offer clients a complete and professional design advice customized.
Moving to the Netherlands was not my plan....
...But it turned out to be the best surprise outside of my life plan. Seven years ago I moved to the Netherlands for love. To pursue my passion for interior design, I had to overcome a major challenge: language. I am not a language prodigy and am not fluent in English, but with two years of intensive study I learned Dutch and eventually got a job at a Dutch design firm. This experience not only gave me insight into the Dutch design style, but also taught me a lot about building and renovation practices in the Netherlands.
The birth of MEI-Design
Still, I noticed that many Chinese-speaking expats in the Netherlands struggle with their interior design and renovation projects, often because of language barriers or unfamiliarity with local construction processes. I realized that as a designer with both Knowledge of the Dutch market as well as Chinese language skills could build a bridge to solve these problems.
Therefore, I Founded MEI-Design two years ago, an interior design studio that focuses specifically targets Chinese expats in the Netherlands. My mission is to Helping them realize their dream interior, with an approach that is both professional and personal.
Nothing makes me happier than helping people make their daily lives easier and more enjoyable to live.

Some fun facts about me
- I love extreme sports! Scuba diving, skydiving, bungee jumping - I've tried it all.
- In my free time, I play board games, enjoy cycling, doing yoga and running.
- Sometimes I go shopping or to the movies.
- I am a real workaholic, but on Friday nights I never work!
- Dogs and beer? Yes, please!
- I am not shy, but I do have some social anxiety.
- I sing incredibly out of tune, but no one can stop me!
- I can't dance, but moving along to music feels great.
- I worked in Australia and New Zealand for 3 years and even did some design projects there.
- I am a true travel enthusiast and have traveled the world.
- I love Taiwanese food and culture!
- My future plans? Learning to dance, surf, swim and ski!
